The Nelson Family has farmed grapes in a small valley west of the Russian River for generations. Alluvial gravels and ancient marine sediments are ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon.
Gently destemed whole berries are allowed to cold soak. Fermentation occurs slowly with its own natural yeast creating complexity. Slowly warming the resulting wine enhances the mouthfeel and softens youthful tannins. This wine is produced in a fruit forward and accessible style.

These are our everyday wines. Crisp, refreshing, light and food friendly, inspired by the Mendocino County community’s high standards for land stewardship and maintenance of its rustic beauty. We source the grapes from small, family-run farms that participate in the Wine Institute’s Sustainable Winegrowing Program.
